Slow down Aging
Every teenager wants to grow up as a beautiful, youthful adult. And what after that? We all want to freeze the time of this tickling clock, so as to live young forever. But that’s impossible as aging is inevitable. Instead, believe in aging elegantly by adopting an everyday healthy habit and slow down aging.
Everyday Sun Protection is vital to avoid early aging.
Soaking sun early morning for 10 minutes, between 6 to 8 AM, is an excellent idea as it’s a natural source of Vitamin D to provide good skin and hair. But, avoid sun exposure after 10 AM as that’s harmful for skin. The foremost important step towards reducing premature skin aging is to protect your skin from UV rays, infrared rays, and even visible sun rays. These harmful rays can damage skin structure at both the gross and cellular level. Use a broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen with SPF30 or more on all sun-exposed skin areas, step-out in the sun with other protection such as umbrellas, scarf, or broad-brimmed hat.
Eat a healthy, well-balanced diet to slow down aging:
Fresh fruits and vegetable-rich diet provides essential vitamins and minerals, which are crucial parts of our body’s anti-oxidative pathway. These anti-oxidants counteract the harmful effects of reactive oxygen species on cells, thus preventing cellular damage and delay the aging process. Avoid diet rich in sugars and carbohydrates as it promotes AGE formation (advanced glycosylation end products) associated with accelerated aging.
Stay hydrated and pause aging:
Glowing skin is the result of a fully hydrated body. It is vital to include 8 to 10 glasses of water in your daily routine. Dehydration can cause irritation and wrinkles, which leads to early aging.
Adequate sleep is necessary for healthy skin and slow down aging:
Sleep quickens a skin-repairing system of your body. Improper sleep increases stress, acne, dehydrated skin, pale face, which look older than normal age.
Prolonged screentime expedites aging :
In today’s lifestyle, the phone, laptops, or desktops has become the most important item. Extended screen time affects the eyes, causing wrinkles and early skin aging. Take breaks in between and do face exercises.
To stay young and healthy, follow a regular exercise routine to improve blood circulation and boost immunity.
Wash the face twice a day,
especially after sweating heavily. Sweat secretes toxin and lots of salts, which irritates the skin thus needs to be washed off. Cleanse your skin gently –as scrubbing accelerates aging and may irritate the skin.
Use soothing skin products and immediately stop those, causing displeasing and burning skin sensation as it can damage your skin. Apply a moisturizer on the face every day to maintain adequate skin hydration to give the skin a youthful appearance.
Cut down on alcohol consumption to slow down aging-
Alcohol causes dehydration of the body and skin, making our skin look old. Instead, enjoy Wine!
Stop Smoking – To keep your skin young and glowing, smoking accelerates skin aging and makes it dull.
