Treatment of Freckles / Melasma

Melasma & freckles are the commonest pigmentation disorder that causes brown or grey patches to appear on the skin, primarily on the face. Most people get it on their cheeks, bridge of their nose, forehead, chin, and above their upper lip. It also can appear on other parts of the body that get lots of sun, such as the forearms and neck. Various options to get rid of them includes:

Brightening peel

Superficial to medium depth peel contain a unique mixed blend of phenol, TCA, retinoic acid, phytic acid, glycolic acid, ascordic acid, mandelic acid. It helps to get rid of stubborn pigmentation, reduces fine lines & open pores.

Laser toning/ Laser facial

Fractional Q-switched Nd:YAG Laser (Tribeam premium)

One of the most effective method of skin lightening and rejuvenation. The ultra-short pulse generated by a Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser is passed on the pigmented skin. The light beam consistently breaks down the pigment (melanin) that are responsible for blemishes, pigmentation, scars, tan etc. It also stimulates and improves collagen production thereby allowing a healthy, fresh and younger looking skin.

  • It is suitable for all skin types and can be used for various parts of body like face, neck, arms, underarms, lips, feet etc.

Freckles are very common skin problem. Many patients have them at an early age. These are particularly common in people with fair skin.

They are harmless, become more darker after sun exposure. They may tend to run in families.

Application of sunscreen along with laser treatment usually solves the problem. They can be removed with the use of 532 or 1064 Q-Switch Nd:YAG laser (Tri beam). However, this may take upto 4 sessions at monthly intervals to achieve full result.
